My first (and only, thus far) visit to Jack in the Box was at this location so this review is a more general one, rather than specific to this location. The inside was completely empty at around 9pm on a Saturday night, but there were 2 cars in front of me in the drive-thru, and 2 behind me by the time I left. The wait wasn't bad at all, maybe a few minutes to order and two to get my food; definitely better than McDonald's drive-thrus.
I ordered a Grande Sausage Burrito, hash brown, chicken nuggets, and cheesecake because I wanted to try their dessert menu. The hash brown was great, hot and crispy. It tasted a little less "fresh" than McD's hash browns, maybe a difference in the oil they use. Nonetheless tasty. The breakfast burrito was a little underwhelming. The tortilla was nice and chewy but the eggs were flavorless and the sausage patty too salty. Wish they offered hot sauce to go with it. But it's a hot, cheap meal, so I imagine if I was starving and nothing else was open, this would be a welcome treat. Chicken nuggets took me back to elementary school lol, they taste like they're straight out of my old cafeteria. Not a bad thing per se, that's just the nature of chicken nuggets! I'd definitely recommend the chicken strips over the nuggets any day (I only got them because I had a coupon). The cheesecake was good but so tiny for the price! It was around $3.50 for a teeny slice. You can get three times as much from The Cheesecake Factory. Obviously it's more expensive, but the quality would be better too.
My biggest complaint is that they didn't include any sauces. Nothing for the chicken nuggets, no ketchup for the hash browns, no hot sauce for the burrito, nada. A bit disappointed but luckily I had ketchup at home. They did however include plenty of napkins for me. Fast food gets messy so thank you!
My total was around $11.50. Overall, everything just tasted mediocre but the service was super quick, the employees kind, and the drive-thru very convenient. The biggest merit of this location is that it's open 24 hours. There aren't many places in Sacramento that offer that, especially in this neighborhood! I wouldn't go out of my way to try Jack in the Box again, but if I was hungry past midnight, and had no food at home and really wanted a nice hot meal, I'd be glad this place was open. -

Awful, there so worried about keeping homeless out they appear to treat everyone like one to include customers..

This Jack in the Box is close to my school so I use to like going there for a quick lunch. The dine in area is filthy, my fries were COLD not warm not room temperature but COLD. Every time I come here I get bad service and worse food. Literally the worse fast food spot in the area. Very disappointed.

I am a postmates driver and this is by far the best Jack in the Box I have been to. There is a gentleman that works overnights and he is so nice, so thorough and thoughtful- it makes me smile. I have never had such a good experience at any fast food place as this one. If he's not the manager, he should be. And if he is the manager, -that man deserves a raise!!!
Thank you for making my job and my experience so much better!!!
